When I’m looking for an easy breakfast, I often turn to smoothies. I’m rarely hungry first thing in the morning, but if I don’t eat, I’ll be ravenous by lunchtime. Smoothies are THE solution! They’re also a great way to increase your fruit and veggie intake, as you can easily get 2-4 portions of fruit and veg in one serving. So today, I wanted to share my favorite smoothie recipes to boost your fruit and veg intake!
1) Blueberry Mango Kiwi Smoothie
This delicious smoothie combines leafy greens, antioxidant-rich blueberries, vitamin-C-packed kiwi and mango, with protein-rich beans and nuts, for a really filling tasty smoothie.

2) Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Like Ali, from Gimme Some Oven, the first-ever smoothie I had, was a strawberry banana smoothie. I try not to add sugar to my smoothies so I make mine with frozen strawberries, a banana, orange juice, and some greek yogurt. It’s so simple and delicious, you can’t fail to see why this is a classic!

3) Cherry Smoothie
When I can get frozen cherries, I love this combination of dark sweet cherries, bananas, juice, and yogurt for the perfect refreshing smoothie!

4) Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie
I often use frozen berries in smoothies but rarely kiwi. However, when I discovered some kiwis in my fruit bowl, that were already a little soft and needed to be used up – this nutrient-rich strawberry kiwi smoothie was the answer. Bursting with immune-boosting tropical fruit, this smoothie is super-rich in vitamins and minerals and an awesome tasty treat on a hot day.

5) Banana Berry Smoothie

11) Peach Smoothie
Frozen peaches, banana, mango and fruit juice, all blend together to make this simple yet refreshing peach smoothie.

12) Banana Mango Orange Smoothie
My banana mango smoothie is based on a recipe I got from Sally’s Baking Addiction and combines bright citrus flavors with creamy banana, sweet mango, and a splash of orange juice. This is another smoothie that makes me feel like I’m on vacation!

13) Tropical Fruit Smoothie
I like my smoothies quite thick so usually opt for frozen fruit and this tropical fruit smoothie is luscious, thick and packed with flavor. I use about a third of a bag of frozen fruit cocktail (the mix includes mango, strawberry, peach, and a little pineapple) combined with fruit juice and greek yogurt. As my frozen fruit mix includes pineapple which is naturally very sweet, I don’t find I need to add honey but you can adjust based on your own preference!

14) Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie
The first time I ever had Strawberry Lemonade was on a trip to the States when I was 19. I immediately fell in love and attempted to recreate it once I got home, but honestly, it was never quite the same. But I love this strawberry lemonade smoothie, it’s so refreshing and reminds me of drinking a tall glass of strawberry lemonade on a hot day!

15) Pineapple Blueberry Smoothie
This delicious pineapple and blueberry smoothie is bursting with antioxidants. Also, not that I tend to choose my food based on color, but thanks to the blueberries and frozen pineapple, it turns out a bright vibrant purple – my favorite color!

16) Strawberry Smoothie
I love this super easy strawberry smoothie as it is so quick to make. I always use frozen strawberries for a thicker creamier texture but I like my smoothies thick so this is really up to you.

17) Apple Avocado Smoothie
This cleansing green, apple, and avocado smoothie tastes delicious! Fresh and creamy with avocado, apple, banana, spinach, and fresh ginger, it’s a perfect green smoothie recipe to boost your fruit and veg intake!

19) Mixed Berry Smoothie
This mixed berry smoothie is really simple, with frozen berries, bananas, vanilla Greek yogurt and liquid of your choice – I use apple juice as it eliminates the need to add any sweetener.

20) Super Spinach Smoothie
This super spinach smoothie is extremely rich in antioxidants and fiber. The recipe calls for hemp hearts, but not readily available to me so I use a combination of flax and chia seeds and it works great!

This is a great breakfast smoothie as it will keep you full until lunch, I use frozen mixed berries, a banana, spinach, and almond butter with fat-free Greek yogurt to make this really filling smoothie!

24) Pineapple Avocado Spinach Smoothie
This smoothie is an easy way to boost your intake of fruit and veg. With fresh spinach, and lots of sweet pineapple – it’s packed with fruit and vegetables and the avocado gives this an awesome silky smoothness. This smoothie is super delicious, creamy and refreshing and ane of my frequent go-to smoothie recipes to boost my fruit and veg intake!

25) Raspberry Smoothie
You may have noticed a lot of recipes from Dinner at the Zoo on this list and it’s because Sara has so many great, yet super easy smoothie recipes. This easy raspberry smoothie is no exception, just a few simple ingredients but really tasty!

26) Strawberry Peach Smoothie
Yummy – this really simple smoothie combines just four ingredients in a really easy to make, yet flavor-packed smoothie delight!

27) Chia Berry Smoothie
I try to add some kind of protein to most of my smoothies to give them “filling power”. Often it’s greek yogurt or nut butter but I’ve recently started using chia or flax seeds. I love this chia berry smoothie, though I can’t get pomegranate juice so I usually make it with cranberry-apple juice and it works just fine. Your flavor comes from your berries, sweetened just a little by the juice and thanks to the chia seeds, this smoothie should keep you going until lunch.

28) Pineapple, Peach & Spinach Detox Smoothie
Packed with summer fruits, yogurt, and a handful of spinach this detoxifying green smoothie is a great way to boost your veggie intake. Thanks to the peach and frozen pineapple, this smoothie is really sweet and with a frozen banana and Greek yogurt, it’s really lovely and creamy. You do not taste the spinach at all in this awesome vibrant smoothie!

I use a nut butter in my smoothies pretty frequently, but then I came across this recipe from Popsugar which uses whole almonds and it was delicious! I made it with frozen berries and Greek yogurt, but it turned out delicious and was really filling too!
